Whats Leitner System?
There are 4 Boxes, initially all flashcards are placed in Box 1.
You select the Box1 and try to recall the answer written on a flashcard. If you succeed, then card is promoted to the next group (Slide card up if you knew it). If you fail, card is demoted to the first group (Slide card down if you didn’t know it).
You might choose to study the Box 1 cards once a day, Box 2 every 3 days, and the Box 3 cards every 5 days.
The advantage of this method is that you are focused on the most difficult flashcards, which remain in the first Boxes.
The result is, ideally, a reduction in the amount of study time needed.
